2026 Halloween GB/ Moebius Dracula meets the Wolfman

New on the Bench
My 2026 Halloween group build entry is Dracula meets the Wolfman. This is a 1/8 scale model based on the art work of Frank Frazetta. The sculpt is by Jeff Yagher and based on Frazetta's cover art on Creepy #7 from Febuary 1966.
Creepy was a horror comics magazine launched in 1964 by Warren publishing, was printed in black and white and did not have the seal of the comics code authority. An anthology format, first started as a quartly and later moved to bimonthly. There was a host charater named Uncel Creepy that introduced each story The comic was produced by Warren untill Febuary 1983 when Warren publishing went bankrupt. Haris publishing bought the rights and produced a single issue (#146) in 1985.
The plan at this time is to either build or have a photo background of a destroyd gothic chruch.

After running the parts through a gentel cycly in the washing machine.....................🤦‍♂️ oops, i mean the ultrasonic cleaner with 50/05 water, degreaser ill do some sub assemblies. The base was to large to put in with all the other parts so a ran it seperately.Hopefully ill stay on this and not miss the deadline like i did last year.o_O

I'm looking forward to this!

I'm a huge fan of pretty much all of Frank Frazetta's art. And the build-ups I've seen so far look nice.

I'm in the process of building this kit and I'm extremely disappointed in the fit and alignment of the parts. Lots of gaps that you wouldn't expect on a new kit. Time to break out the Aves...

Good to know, I did the Mothman and it had minor fit issues so looks like i better mix up some spru glue.

Also, take a look at Dracula's fangs - they appear a little 'short'. I built mine up with some CA. I also had an issue with the werewolf's claws - a couple appeared to be short shots and had to be built up as well...
