2026 - Plans and Things That Will Never Get Done

My plans for 2026 are set, that way I know what I am not going to do this year.

Like most of us, I have a shelf of shame, some are so close to being finished it's just stupid. I plan to finish the following builds:

Tamiya 1/48 F-14D Tomcat - At paint stage

Revell 1/72 Gato Submarine - Finish weathering, attach weapons and rigging

OLD Monogram 1/48 C-47 - Half painted

AMT 1/25 Supernatural Impala - In the beginning stages of construction

Takom 1/35 Full Interior King Tiger - Done with Interior, will glue 50 more parts to the exterior to get through the next two steps before giving up

Participate in the Star Trek and Halloween Group Builds

New builds - we'll see what happens.

To be fair you said that 4 forums ago. I don't get it but you are the Ray Kinsella (Field of Dreams reference), of modeling forums. Every time you build it they come. Granted they don't always stay but they do come in droves each time

I'm in that same boat as you. I am so close to being done with at least 9 or 10 builds.
Keep telling myself I'll knock them out this year. Gonna give it the Ole army try.

My plan this year, same as last, is to complete one thing per month. However, I am 99% sure, that same as last year, I will not keep to this plan.

The perpetual dilemma - what am I going to accomplish this year? The answer: Who knows - I'll start a dozen+ projects maybe finish 10% and set the rest on schedule for the following year... So now I have two dozen projects (- 10%) on the board... God I love model building

There are hundreds of reasons to start more than one model at the same time, none for finish them
