I built this quite some time ago but to this day its still a favorite. It depicts a Bristol BeauFighter in American livery, which was the driving force of this build because it got a lot of the Brits on the forum I belonged to at the time, panties in a knot. Next to the Spitfire this is one aircraft they really love and seeing in with the Bars and stripes didn't sit well. For those that are unaware, The Lend Lease program of 1941 was a U.S. program allowing the United States to supply Allies (UK, USSR, China, etc.) with war materials like food, oil, and arms, without immediate payment, as vital defense aid, effectively ending U.S. neutrality. So it was the US sending all kinds of supplies to those countries mentioned above but this aircraft was actually sent the other way. Not something that happened very often.
