I have this fascination with Rat Rods. They are unlike any car you have ever seen and usually you may require a tetanus shot after driving/riding in one. For those that don't know what a rat rod is: A rat rod is A rat rod is a custom car, often built from cheap or salvaged parts, characterized by a deliberate, unfinished, and rusty aesthetic that pays homage to early hot rods but emphasizes raw creativity, attitude, and DIY spirit over pristine finishes. They feature mismatched parts, exposed welds, patina, and unique, often large, engines, creating a "blue-collar" or "junkyard" look, but are built to run, often with serious power and unique customizations like rifle gear shifters or custom exhausts.
This build was a challenge by a fellow Youtuber and Rat Rod aficionado, Nick Amburgee (Spelling?) of Beach Bum Garage. This was my second attempt at building a Rat Rod.
The Kit, AMT 32 Vicky

This build was one customization after another. The frame was stretched, the suspension was lowered and the roof was chopped. The biggest modification was fitting a big diesel engine from a Kenworth semi truck. That is how this build became known as the Vicky D. the D standing for Diesel.
