This subject (Bootlegging) is something that has had my interest for some time now. There are so many subjects that I have toyed with building from different movies but I have never commented to doing any of them till I ran across this group build on Youtube. The group build is being hosted by Dirt Road Cinderella and RKD Scaleworks. It started way back in October (2025) and runts till April (2026) but I just discovered it a couple weeks back and decided this was the time to jump in.
Now I'm from the northern states and originally from the Great White north so my knowledge of the south and its bootlegging history is only what I've learned from watching movies and TV shows like the Dukes of Hazard. That said I have decided to go with what I perceive as an original bootlegger type car. In my minds eye nothing screams Bootlegging like the 36 ford coupe.
For this build I chose the AMT Dick Tracy 36 Coupe.
For the most part this will be a straight out of the box built but with one exception. I found some Flathead upgrade parts on one of the 3D download sites along with a couple creates and moonshine bottles for emphasis of the cars bootleg heritage.
