Glue & Go
One could call this a kit-bash, but the final result isn't really "original" enough.
For the 2022 HLI Star Wars Group Build, I wanted to work on an MPC TIE Interceptor, however the main body is abysmal. But, I managed to find one of the later, and more accurate, dual TIE fighter kits from AMT. Fortunately, both kits are the same scale ( ~ 1:51)
So, I slapped the MPC Interceptor's wings onto the main hull of an AMT kit.
Primers and paints are all Tamiyas, airbrushed with a Badger Anthem 155 and Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. I also used a light grey Vallejo wash to keep it more "factory fresh."
The base is a stack-able, acrylic organizer box.
Almost a year after finishing this, Round2 announced a production of this EXACT same kit-bash, which you can buy now ... LOL. They claim it's 1:48 ... but is definitely not ...
Cheers,
Spencer
