BRTC25 "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUCK" THUNDER FIGHTER (STARFIGHTER).

Greeting to all,

A very good friend (and former colleague) requested that I make one for him. I agreed to his request and am now making the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUCK" version for him.

Yes, I will be greebling this out as much as I can. However, I will not be posting a ton of photos (especially since I have built this model many times before and have posted details build thread in the past).

Here are the parts for the cockpit interior.


The seat is assembled.


Since this is a single seat plane, the cockpit interior is assembled.
As you can see, I have raised the buttons and control panels.

I have started on the main body of the Thunder Fighter.

Here I assembled the main framework.


I added the skins and greebles.


The main halves are finished.


Here is the bottom rear panel and internal formers.


The bottom rear panel and internal formers are attached in place.


Both halves are joined.





I added the mid-section of the sponsons.

I completely detailed the rear end.


Here are the engine exhausts.

I have added as much detail as I possibly could in an attempted to make them as close to being screen accurate as possible.










One exhaust is finished.


Both are now finished.


I have attached to exhausts to the main body of the plane.

Moving on to the cockpit canopy. The main canopy pieces will be (loosely) sitting in place. That way, my friend can display it with the canopy open (so that you can see the cockpit interior) or closed.

Here are the parts for the cockpit canopy.


The rear (anchor) piece is assembled.


The rear (anchor) piece is attached in place.


The rear canopy piece is assembled.




The rear canopy piece is sitting in the "OPEN" position.


The rear canopy piece is sitting in the "CLOSED" position.


I attached the center (anchor) piece in place.


The rear canopy piece is put in place to check the placement of the center (anchor) piece.
