General Ursus (My Way)...

Here is one I did a couple years ago... First figure kit I built in 12 years and I was just playing around to get the feel for working with figures again... This is the re-issued (still many years ago) of the Aurora General Ursus from the Planet of the Apes movie... I do realize that the colors are all wrong but like I said I was playing around... Regardless I think it came out fairly decently everything considered... Anyway here it is:

Nice work, I have this kit and as stupid as this may sound I can't stand the rifle. It looks NOTHING like the Ape rifles in the movies or the TV series.

I know... It would have been easy to replicate the actual prop from the movies and series - why they opted to mold a "modern" human rifle is beyond me... I think the next time I build this kit I'll attempt to make a accurate rifle from scratch...
