Heller: 1/72 P-39 Airacobra

The Airacobra is a cool aircraft because it actually has a car door style access to the cockpit. As normal as it is to see a car door, on an aircraft its just weird. I got this kit because I fell in love with the box are. The blue on blue with white accents was so cool. But as it turns out that is NOT how any of these aircraft were painted. It turns out its Olive Drab over neutral gray with white accents. I really fought with myself about painting it like the box art but couldn't bring myself to do it.

Its a very simplistic kit with few parts and even fewer details but in the end it still looks like an Airacobra.
