Spencer Wolfe
Glue & Go
This build was for one of the HLI MOTY (Model of the Year) contests. The wings are static.
I put it on a wooden, shadow-box base and used a 1/4" stereo plug for the connection.
Paints were Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter and Primers. Then various water based acrylics, mostly Vallejos, sprayed with a Paasche Talon and Badger Anthem 155.
The lighting is all custom using LEDs and fiber-optics ... and the control circuit eventually became the basis for one of the HLIFX lighting boards. The wing cannons also needed to be completely re-built using brass tubing to run lighting.
Someday I'll build another with moving wings and all the various upgrade parts.
Cheers,
Spencer
