This kit just didn't want to go together. I built this for the 80th anniversary D-Day group as a tribute to 1st lt Arthur Krause of the 366th fighter group 390th fighter squadron stationed in Britain. Lieutenant Krause and his group was assigned to eliminate ground targets as the beach landings moved in. After dropping their ordinance lt Krause was hit on a strafing run and did not have time or altitude to bail out and rode the thunderbolt into the ground. he did not survive and is buried in France at the Normandy American cemetery.
