Call it Slave 1 ... call it the Firespray ... call it whatever you want. It's my favorite ship in all of Star Wars.
This build was for the HLI 2021 Star Wars Group Build.
It was a struggle to get some LEDs in the engines, but I got there. I also built a custom circuit for basic flickering. I know about flickering LEDs and such, but wanted something more custom.
Paints are Tamiya Primers and all Vallejos. I used Vallejo Chipping Medium across all layers because that's what this ship is about. All sprayed with a Paasche Talon. I still consider it one of my best paint jobs.
The base in one of those clear acrylic stack-able organizer box thing-a-ma-jigs, turned upside-down and sprayed with Rustoleum.
As with most things Bandai, the kit is small but the detail is amazing and highly accurate. I have some 1:72 Fine Molds versions of this ship in my future ...
