Star Trek 60th Anniversary Group Build Rules
Welcome to the Star Trek 60th Anniversary Group Build! This special event celebrates six decades of Star Trek, bringing modelers together to showcase their creativity and love for the franchise. Let’s dive into the rules so you can get started!
Posting Your WIP
Please start a Work In Progress (WIP) thread for your entry and title it like this: “Star Trek Anniversary GB – (What You’re Building)”.
Using that format helps us keep this year’s entries organized (even though we love seeing all your builds!).
For easy reference, the official group build rules will stay pinned (sticky) at the top of the forum until the event is finished.

General Rules
New Builds Only:- Your entry must be a new kit, 3D print, or scratch build.
- Previously started builds are not allowed if they’re already mostly completed. Small exceptions are okay (e.g., a few pieces clipped from a sprue, a part primed, or an arm assembled). If in doubt, email us at [email protected].
- Your build must include real work like sanding, filling, gluing, and painting.
- Simply assembling or printing isn’t enough to qualify.
- Entries must be based on any Star Trek TV series or movie.
- If you’re unsure whether your build qualifies, reach out for confirmation.
- You don’t need to be a Hobby Link International (HLI) community member to join, though we encourage members to share their progress with the community.
- If you post your entry on the HLI forum, please include this format in your title: “The Star Trek 60th Anniversary GB - [Name of Your Build]”
- This helps everyone easily find your project.
Live Showcase
- We’ll host a live YouTube stream on September 8, 2026, to display everyone’s completed builds!
