Not to far from me, 30 minutes to the north, is a town called Parsippany, New Jersey. And in that town along a 4 lane highway is what looks to be an abandoned shopping plaza. In that abandoned looking shopping plaza is a hobby shop called Tech Toys. All the boxes in the windows are old and faded. You might think it as a back drop for an episode of some post apocalyptic TV series like the Walking Dead. If you weren't looking for it you would never even notice it. Hell when you are trying to find it you might still pass it by because how could a hobby shop or any shop be found in such a run down location?

But inside this relic of a shop is a model builders wet dream. Let me show you what I mean. Now keep in mind these photos are a couple years old and the owner has actually increased the number of kits to the point he can no longer use his register. He now sits on a cart with a laptop in the doorway and has to physically move every time someone enters the store. This place is a fire trap at best. Rumors are that some customers have entered and were never seen again. The threat of a styrene avalanche is a real threat. This place is a must see if you are ever in the area. Its like The Worlds Largest Ball of Yarn in Kansas, or the 55 foot statue of the Jolly Green Giant in Blue Earth Minnesota, or the Brooks Catsup water tower in Collinsville Illinois. I mean this place is a must see. Even the Progressive Insurance company used it as a backdrop for two of its commercials

So lets take a look whats inside
Stay tuned....
