Yes. I'm doing it this year.
Both of us being native to WV, I'm gonna put some time into painting this one.
I have an idea for a pattern. It's based off the Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly, which tends to hang around the Paw Paw tree. The Paw Paw being one of the very few examples of tropical descended fruit that is native to the mid-latitudes (eastern US.)
Ripe Paw Paw fruit are quite delicious BTW. Like a sweet banana custard, but their shelf life is non-existent.
Thus, I'm going to go for something like this, but not quite as garish.
I'll also have to cast the eyes in clear. I've never casted anything before, so I'll have to figure that out first. I think Pegasus really dropped the ball there as glowing red eyes is the whole thing of Mothman.
And no, I'm pretty sure Cypress tress don't grow anywhere around here, so the trunk will need some rework ...
Anyway, that's the plan for now.
