The Bride of Frankenstein - X-Plus 1:8

Spencer Wolfe

Glue & Go
The Bride is one of my favorite Universal monsters; so, I decided to build the X-Plus kit as soon as I got it.

For the 2025 Boyd Crompton Memorial Halloween Group build.

It's not the easiest kit I'd say, particularly for a beginner; but, I think it's the best version out there in plastic. And you get two different versions of the Bride.

Primed with Duplicolor and Tamiya. Based coated with mixes of Stynylrez, and then detail sprayed and hand painted with various craft paints, hobby acrylics and artist inks. General spraying with a Badger Patriot 105 and the details with a Sotar 20/20. Sealed with Vallejo Mecha Varnishes and Krylon.

I had a lot of stressful stuff going on during this build, but it was still a LOT of fun and a good escape from all the stress.

Cheers,
Spencer

I'm glad you're back into things again Spencer. Beautiful job by the way. I bought a X kit of the Maschinenmensch (Maria) from Metropolis last Fall. I haven't had the nerve, nor the inspiration to start her yet.
